x8i Instance Family
Description #
The memory-optimized X8I instance family, announced in preview on December 2, 2025, is powered by custom Intel Xeon 6 processors with a 3.9 GHz all-core turbo frequency. They offer up to 6TB of high-speed DDR5 memory, delivering up to 3.4x more memory bandwidth than X2i instances. The family supports Instance Bandwidth Configuration (IBC) for flexible network/EBS allocation and is SAP-certified. This makes them ideal for in-memory databases, analytics, and Electronic Design Automation (EDA) workloads.
