r7i Instance Family
Description #
The R7i family, generally available since October 16, 2023, is memory-optimized and features custom 4th Gen Intel Xeon Platinum 8488C processors with a 3.2 GHz all-core turbo and DDR5 memory. They provide up to 50 Gbps of networking and 40 Gbps of EBS bandwidth, supporting up to 128 EBS volumes. Built on the AWS Nitro System, all sizes include Intel AMX, with DSA, IAA, and QAT accelerators available on bare-metal instances. This SAP-certified family is ideal for memory-intensive workloads like in-memory databases and real-time analytics.
