u7i-8tb Instance Family
Description #
The U7I-8TB instance family, generally available since December 9, 2024, is a memory-optimized type powered by custom fourth-generation Intel Xeon Scalable Processors (Sapphire Rapids). These instances feature 8TiB of DDR5 memory, making them ideal for mission-critical in-memory databases like SAP HANA. They offer high-performance networking with up to 100 Gbps network and EBS bandwidth, and support ENA Express. The instances rely on Amazon EBS for storage and do not include local instance storage.
