vt1 Instance Family
Description #
The VT1 instance family, generally available since September 13, 2021, is optimized for live video transcoding. These instances feature 2nd Generation Intel Xeon Scalable Processors (Cascade Lake P-8259CL) and Xilinx Alveo U30 media accelerator cards. They offer up to 25 Gbps of networking and 19 Gbps of EBS bandwidth, with no instance storage. VT1 instances are designed for workloads like live broadcast and video conferencing, supporting resolutions up to 4K UHD and H.264/AVC and H.265/HEVC codecs.
