m8i-flex Instance Family
Description #
The M8I-FLEX family, generally available since August 28, 2025, features custom Intel Xeon 6 processors with a sustained all-core turbo of 3.9 GHz. These general-purpose instances, a cost-optimized M8i variant, do not include local instance storage and are EBS-only. They offer up to 30 Gbps of networking and 20 Gbps of EBS bandwidth, with 2.5x more memory bandwidth than M7i-flex. They are designed for workloads that do not continuously utilize all compute resources but benefit from the latest performance.
