r6i Instance Family
Description #
The R6i instance family, generally available since November 2021, is built on the AWS Nitro System for memory-intensive workloads and features 3rd Gen Intel Xeon Scalable processors (8375C) with an all-core turbo frequency of 3.5 GHz. These instances provide up to 50 Gbps of networking and up to 40 Gbps of EBS bandwidth, with EFA support on the largest sizes. The R6i types utilize EBS-only storage and are SAP-Certified, offering up to 15% better compute price performance over the previous R5 generation.
