r8idb Instance Family
Description #
The R8idb instance family, generally available since April 27, 2026, is powered by custom sixth-generation Intel Xeon 6 processors (Intel Xeon 6975P-C) with a sustained all-core turbo frequency of 3.9 GHz. These memory-optimized instances feature up to 22.8TB of high-speed NVMe SSD local instance storage and support up to 300 Gbps of EBS bandwidth and 100 Gbps of networking bandwidth. They include the Instance Bandwidth Configuration feature for flexible resource allocation between network and EBS traffic, making them ideal for I/O intensive databases and real-time data analytics.
