r5n Instance Family

The R5N instance family, generally available since October 10, 2019, is memory-optimized for network-intensive workloads. It features the Intel(R) Xeon(R) Platinum 8259CL CPU (Cascade Lake) and provides up to 100 Gbps of network bandwidth, leveraging the AWS Nitro System and ENA. These instances primarily use EBS-only storage and offer up to 19 Gbps of dedicated EBS bandwidth. A key feature is support for Elastic Fabric Adapter (EFA) on larger sizes and AVX-512 VNNI for enhanced deep learning inference.
