r7gd Instance Family
Description #
The R7GD instance family, generally available since July 2023, features custom AWS Graviton3 processors and DDR5 memory for memory-intensive workloads. These instances include high-speed, low-latency local NVMe SSD storage, offering up to 45% better real-time NVMe performance than Graviton2-based instances. They are built on the AWS Nitro System, providing up to 30 Gbps of network bandwidth and 20 Gbps of EBS bandwidth. The larger instance sizes also support Elastic Fabric Adapter (EFA).
