c5ad Instance Family

The C5AD instance family, generally available since August 2020, is powered by 2nd generation AMD EPYC 7R32 processors clocked up to 3.3 GHz, offering a cost-effective x86 compute-optimized solution. These instances feature fast, local NVMe-based SSD instance storage for high-speed, low-latency access to temporary data, a key differentiator from the C5A family. Built on the AWS Nitro System, they leverage the Elastic Network Adapter (ENA) to provide up to 20 Gbps of network bandwidth. This family is ideal for workloads like video encoding, gaming, and high-performance web servers.
