r8idn Instance Family
Description #
The R8idn instance family, generally available since May 7, 2026, features Intel(R) Xeon(R) 6975P-C (x86_64) processors (Granite Rapids) with a sustained all-core turbo frequency of 3.9 GHz. These instances provide up to 600 Gbps of network bandwidth and up to 22.8 TB of local NVMe SSD storage, powered by 6th generation AWS Nitro cards. They deliver 3.3x higher memory bandwidth than the R6idn family and support Instance Bandwidth Configuration for flexible allocation between network and EBS performance.
