r6id Instance Family
Description #
The R6ID memory-optimized instance family, generally available since June 9, 2022, utilizes 3rd Gen Intel Xeon Scalable processors (Ice Lake 8375C) with a 3.5 GHz all-core turbo frequency. These instances feature up to 7.6 TB of high-speed, low-latency local NVMe SSD storage. They deliver up to 50 Gbps of network bandwidth and 40 Gbps of EBS throughput. Built on the AWS Nitro System, R6ID is ideal for in-memory databases and caches, offering EFA support on metal and 32xlarge sizes.
