m8gb Instance Family

The M8g instance family, released on September 25, 2024, is powered by custom AWS Graviton4 processors with Neoverse-V2 (aarch64) cores. These general-purpose instances offer up to 50 Gbps of enhanced networking and up to 40 Gbps of Amazon EBS bandwidth. They are EBS-optimized by default, with larger types like m8gb.12xlarge including local NVMe SSD instance storage. A key feature is the latest DDR5-5600 memory, delivering up to 30% better performance over the M7g generation.
