c7i-flex Instance Family
Description #
The EC2 C7I-FLEX family, generally available since May 2024, is powered by custom 4th Generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors (Sapphire Rapids) and is ideal for compute-intensive, bursty workloads. These compute-optimized instances are EBS-only, utilizing up to 10 Gbps of EBS bandwidth and up to 12.5 Gbps of network bandwidth. They offer up to 19% better price performance than C6i instances by providing a baseline CPU performance that can scale up to full capacity 95% of the time.
