d3 Instance Family

The D3 instance family, launched around December 2020, features 2nd Generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors (Cascade Lake) with a sustained all-core turbo frequency of up to 3.1 GHz. These storage-optimized instances offer HDD-based instance storage ranging from 6 TB to 48 TB. They provide up to 25 Gbps of network bandwidth and are built on the AWS Nitro System, making them suitable for applications requiring high sequential I/O performance and disk throughput.
