c3 Instance Family

The C3 compute-optimized instance family was released on November 14, 2013, featuring Intel Xeon E5-2680 v2 (Ivy Bridge) processors clocked at 2.8 GHz. These instances include local SSD-based instance storage and support Enhanced Networking for significantly higher packet-per-second performance and lower latency. The C3 family is designed for high-performance computing, web servers, and other compute-intensive workloads.
