c5 Instance Family

The C5 instance family, first released in November 2017, is compute-optimized and built on the AWS Nitro System. They are powered by 3.0 GHz Intel Xeon Platinum 8000 series processors, such as the Intel Xeon Platinum 8124M, supporting AVX-512 instructions for high-performance vector workloads. These instances are EBS-backed (with no local instance storage) and leverage the Elastic Network Adapter (ENA) to provide network bandwidth up to 25 Gbps.
