Description #
The I3 instance family, launched on February 24, 2017, features Intel Xeon E5-2686 v4 (Broadwell) processors at 2.3 GHz. These Storage Optimized instances utilize high-speed, local NVMe SSD-backed storage for low-latency, high-IOPS performance, delivering up to 3.3 million IOPS and up to 25 Gbps of network bandwidth. The family, which includes the i3.metal type, is ideal for I/O-intensive workloads like NoSQL databases and real-time analytics.
