c9gd Instance Family
Description #
The C9gd instance family, generally available since June 30, 2026, features custom-designed AWS Graviton5 processors with DDR5-8800 memory and five times more L3 cache than the previous generation. These compute-optimized instances offer up to 11.4TB of high-speed, low-latency local NVMe SSD storage and up to 100 Gbps of network bandwidth. They are the first compute-optimized instances to feature the AWS Nitro Isolation Engine for mathematically proven VM isolation, making them ideal for high-performance computing and agentic AI workloads.
