m6i Instance Family
Description #
The M6i instance family, generally available since August 16, 2021, is powered by 3rd Gen Intel Xeon Scalable processors (Ice Lake) with an all-core turbo frequency of 3.5 GHz. These general-purpose instances, built on the AWS Nitro System, provide up to 50 Gbps of networking and 40 Gbps of EBS bandwidth, with no local instance storage. They offer up to 15% better price performance than M5 instances and include always-on memory encryption.
