m5dn Instance Family
Description #
The M5DN instance family, released in October 2019, features 2nd Generation Intel Xeon Platinum 8259CL (Cascade Lake) processors with a sustained all-core turbo frequency of up to 3.1 GHz. These general-purpose instances include up to 3.6TB of high-speed NVMe SSD instance storage. Built on the AWS Nitro System, they leverage a custom Nitro card to deliver up to 100 Gbps of network bandwidth. This makes them ideal for workloads needing a balance of compute, memory, and high-network throughput.
