dl1 Instance Family

The DL1 instance family, generally available since October 26, 2021, features 2nd generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors (Cascade Lake) and Habana Gaudi accelerators. These instances are designed for training deep learning models, offering up to 4 TB of local NVMe storage and 400 Gbps of networking throughput. DL1 instances provide enhanced networking via Amazon Elastic Fabric Adapter (EFA) and Amazon Elastic Network Adapter (ENA) for high-speed networking needs.
